Pathologic (2005)

General

• What?
• I am always glad to receive guests.

• Earlier, I was walking at night, and in the morning, I was found somewhere, in a- in a new place.

Day 1

• (Bachelor) The girl behaves like a stepping being. Purposely pretends? It doesn't seem to be so.
• (Bachelor) Simon has died. This seems unlikely.
• (Haruspex) No, he is not too clever, this Bachelor. He- he is educated, but not clever. The murderer will find him before he will understand it all.
• (Haruspex) There was no murderer, really? There wasn't?

Day 2

• (Bachelor) Have you heard? This awful Ospina has bowed to Haruspicus.
• (Bachelor) He has come right at the moment when Isidor left. Nothing in this world happens without reason.
• (Haruspex) Devotress has made a choice. She has put the Saburovs under her crude command.
• (Haruspex) Why do they make such stocks, Lara, brother, the factory workers. Probably trouble is coming.

Day 3

• (Bachelor) Why was there magic in her eyes? Is she really— No, no. This is impossible.
• (Bachelor / Haruspex) So, the people really die from this illness?
• (Haruspex) The Bachelor takes the children out from dangerous areas. There's an infection rampant.
• (Changeling) Do you know anything about this illness?
• (Changeling) Do people really die of it?

Day 4

• (Bachelor) The boys from Notkin gang attacked Braga. Crazy, they do not want to live!
• (Bachelor) We do not even have a suitable hospital in town.
• (Haruspex) In our Town there is not even a suitable hospital.
• (Haruspex) Where will the Bachelor find a hospital?

Day 5

• (Haruspex) The Bachelor has ordered me to stay at home and not ask about anything.
• (Haruspex) Save the people. My mum says so. Whoever saves the people will find the free way.

Day 6

• (Bachelor) Clara tries to deny the charges. She met Julia, right?
• (Haruspex) So there is no more successor at Catherina.
• (Changeling) Mark Immortell has declared some Rat Prophet. What is it?
• (Bachelor) They say the spreader has got into the Cathedral, everyone there was lost. Is this true?
• (Haruspex) The people said the spreader got into the Cathedral, everyone who was there died. Is it true?
• (Changeling) I was told the spreader got into the Cathedral, everyone who was there died. Is this true?

Day 7

• (Haruspex) Those saved by you will testify for themselves, and for you too.
• (Haruspex) The Bachelor has been dumbfounded by the opening. Who are they, the people under the birds' masks?
• (Changeling) Why has Aglaja ordered the Apary open? So there are no people infected?
• (Changeling) After a meeting with Haruspicus, she went to her herself and ordered no disturbance. Well, I never.

Day 8

• (Bachelor) Changeling talks haughtily. Something has happened. Something has changed.

Day 9

• (Haruspex) You saw the gun? They say it is possible to bring down the moon from the sky with it.
• (Haruspex) The Bachelor supplies children with weapons. This is impossible.

Day 10

• (Haruspex) And why has Clara involved the children? She acts like the one who wins. Such a mean woman.
• (Haruspex / Changeling) The diarchy is absurd. It will bring us to a deadlock. Someone from the queens should obey.
• (Changeling) The Bachelor has told us that a discontent ripens in the army.

Day 11

• (Haruspex) I rely on you. You will help me to revive the Town and to keep it under our parents' wings.
• (Haruspex) Aglaja has named Clara a cursed one and expelled her. Serves her right. Aglaja is right.

Day 12

• My branch was named so, 'Capella'. If not for this pestilence, I would spread a pagan cult among the children. And then, the parents would live forever.
• If the castaway children survive, the Town of Chimera will turn into the Town of People. I shall prepare them. Will you help me to get into the Cathedral?

• Guests are always welcome here.

• It's the same power that my dear mother used to glimmer with.

• Hmm. I used to go out in the night, only to be found someplace new in the morning.
• The winter comes soon, I hope.
• There's a peculiar smell on the outside. What is this?
• Father has been avoiding me lately. Strange.
• It's hard for us to believe in things that lie outside of our scope.

Day 1

• (Bachelor) The girl is behaving like a Steppe creature. Is she pretending on purpose? It doesn't look like it.
• (Bachelor) Simon has died on his own. This is beyond any doubt.
• (Haruspex) This Bachelor isn't that smart. Intelligent, yes. But not smart. The killer will get to him before he gets to the bottom of this.
• (Haruspex) There was no murderer, right? Was there?

Day 2

• (Bachelor) Have you heard? The horrible Aspity has bowed down to Haruspex.
• (Bachelor) He appeared exactly when Isidor passed away. Everything happens for a reason.
• (Haruspex) Changeling has made her choice. She has bestowed her coup de grâce upon the Saburovs.
• (Haruspex) Lara, my brother, the factory workers. Why are they all stockpiling whatever they can find? Is there trouble brewing?

Day 3

• (Bachelor) What was that magic in her eyes? Could she be—No, no. That's impossible.
• (Haruspex) Bachelor is dragging the children out of the dangerous districts. Those districts are infected... aren’t they?
• (Bachelor / Haruspex) So. Do people genuinely die from this disease?
• (Changeling) Do you know anything about the disease?
• (Changeling) Is it really lethal?

Day 4

• (Bachelor) Notkin's boys have attacked Barley. They're crazy. Do they have a death wish?
• (Haruspex) Where is Bachelor planning to make a hospital?
• (Bachelor / Haruspex) We don't even have a proper hospital in the town.

Day 5

• (Haruspex) Bachelor has told us to stay inside. No questions asked.
• (Haruspex) Save people. That's what mom says. He who saves people ends up free.

Day 6

• (Bachelor) Clara is trying to clear herself of charges. She's met Yulia, hasn't she?
• (Haruspex) And then Katerina has an heiress no more.
• (Changeling) Mark Immortell has announced that he knows of some Rat Prophet. What is it?
• They say a plague-bearer got into the Cathedral. Everyone who was there died. Is that true?

Day 7

• (Haruspex) Those whom you save will speak for themselves and for you.
• (Haruspex) Bachelor was stunned by his discovery. Who are those people in bird masks?
• (Changeling) Why has Aglaya ordered to unlock the Termitary? Is it clear of infection?
• (Changeling) After seeing Haruspex, she went back to her chamber and ordered not to disturb her. Wow.

Day 8

• (Bachelor) Changeling has a haughty attitude. Something has changed.
• (Haruspex) Changeling is ordering around like a real mistress. Something's changed.
• (Bachelor / Haruspex) The Inquisitor would not allow the soldiers to abuse their power, would she?

Day 9

• (Haruspex) Have you seen the cannon? They say you can hit to the moon with it.
• (Haruspex) Bachelor is supplying children with guns. That's impossible.

Day 10

• (Haruspex) Why is Clara harassing the children? It's like she's playing to win. Vile creature.
• (Changeling) Bachelor said there's unrest among the troops.
• (Haruspex / Changeling) Diarchy is absurd. It will lead us nowhere. One of the chess pieces will have to get off the board.

Day 11

• (Haruspex) I'm relying on you. You will help me to rebuild the Town and keep it under my mother's wings.
• (Haruspex) Aglaya announced that Clara was cursed and banished her. Serves her well. Aglaya was in the right.

Day 12

• My path was my namesake: it was called 'Capella'. Were it not for the plague, I would have spread a heathen cult among the children. Then parents would’ve lived forever.
• If the outcast children live, this chimera of a town will turn into a Town of Men. I will arrange it. Help me get into the Cathedral, will you?

Pathologic 2

• A vagrant has bestowed her crude grace upon the Saburovs.
• We were ordered to stay home, and stay quiet.
