Morphine is a type of drug found in Pathologic 2.

When administered to another character during diagnosis, Morphine reduces their pain by 25%. When consumed by the player character, Morphine increases health by 5%, but also increases exhaustion by 10%. Upon consumption, Morphine will give them a buff for 2 in-game hours, during which time their health recovery during sleep is improved by 26% (resulting in an additional 6.5% HP recovered in 2 hrs sleep). In either case, use of a Morphine will create a Broken Ampoule in the player's inventory.

Morphine can be purchased from pharmacies, bartered from townsfolk, and looted from containers. It can be received in trade from Catnip, Dandy, Chickadees, Militia, Teensies, and Swifts. It can be traded to infected townsfolk.

As of Day 4, once the Brewery has been fixed, the Haruspex can make Painkillers, which are a homemade alternative to Morphine.

Morphine is a type of painkiller found in Pathologic.

Upon ingestion, restores 15 health and increases exhaustion by 25 upon usage. While sleeping, 20 points of health are gained per hour and exhaustion is reduced by 25 points per hour. Effect for lasts 10 hours.

Due to the increased fatigue and health-restoring properties, it is most effective for players to sleep immediately after using one.

The Bachelor starts his route with one bottle of morphine in his inventory.
