Pathologic (2005)

General

  • Why do you look so? Uhh.
  • Earlier Daddy brought food from the factory.
  • I have got wet and faded.
  • The belly has to be stitched anew.
  • And your stuffing goes outside too.
  • What do you have there? Two more hands?
  • Something wanders round here at night.
  • Where is my doll? Who will feed her?
  • Mom spoke, sick calf is chilly in summer.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) The murderer is a Steppe demon. Shabnak-adyr.
  • (Bachelor) Probably she is that cannibal. How awful.
  • (Haruspex) What if she is that cannibal? How terrible.
  • (Haruspex) Yesterday your father was looking for you. He was worried.


Day 2

Day 3

  • (Bachelor) We are alive, so Grandfather Simon is alive too.
  • (Bachelor) What is this illness?

Days 4-5

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) What was found inside this well? Clay was carried back.
  • (Bachelor) The spreader goes here. Wanders everywhere.
  • (Haruspex) The infector goes here. Wanders everywhere.
  • (Haruspex) Clara would find Bachelor quicker. Otherwise he won't listen.

Day 7

Day 8

  • (Haruspex / Changeling) The Bachelor has found suspicious clay.
  • (Haruspex) What happened in the Abattoir? And the whole land has become wet!
  • (Changeling) What happened in the Abattoir? And the land has become all wet.

Day 9

  • (Haruspex / Changeling) The Bachelor has returned from the tower. He had a malicious smile on his face.
  • (Haruspex) If only our tower was not destroyed. It would be a pity.
  • (Changeling) If only our tower wasn't destroyed. It's a pity.

Day 10

  • (Haruspex) Sometimes it seems to me that Clara is two different girls.
  • (Changeling) Burakh slept on Raga Barrow. I have told him that I shall complain, and I will.
  • (Haruspex / Changeling) That bull on the waste ground is still alive. This is true.

Day 11

  • (Changeling) The bull has disappeared. It's gone somewhere. How is that?
  • (Changeling) Haruscipus [sic] has found blood under Polyhedron. Can you imagine?

Day 12

  • My branch was called "Feed the Doll". I wanted my parents to be nearby as well.
  • If such children, castaways like me, survive, the Town will become the town of people. Capella will entrust it to us. We are the future of this land.

Pathologic Classic

General

  • What are you looking at? Boo.
  • Dad used to bring food from the factory.
  • I'm damp and washed out.
  • They'll have to stitch my belly back together.
  • Your stuffing is coming out.
  • What have you got there? Two more hands?
  • Someone is circling the place at night.
  • Where is my doll? Who will feed it?
  • A weak calf is culled midsummer, Mom used to say.

Day 1

  • (Bachelor) The killer is a Steppe demon. A shabnak-adyr.
  • (Haruspex) Your father was looking for you yesterday. He's worried.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) Perhaps she is the maneater. So scary.

  • (Bachelor) We are alive, so Granddad Simon is alive as well.
  • (Bachelor) What is this disease?

Days 4-5

Day 6

  • (Bachelor) What was in that well? They're bringing the clay back.
  • (Haruspex) Clara better find Bachelor as soon as possible. Otherwise he won't listen.
  • (Bachelor / Haruspex) The plague bringer is here walking around.

  • (Haruspex / Changeling) What happened in the Abattoir? The earth is all soaked!
  • (Haruspex / Changeling) Bachelor has found some strange clay.

Day 9

  • (Haruspex / Changeling) I hope they won't break our tower. It would be a shame.
  • (Haruspex / Changeling) Bachelor came back from the tower. There was a spiteful smile on his face.

Day 10

  • (Haruspex) Sometimes it seems like Clara is two different girls.
  • (Changeling) Burakh slept on the Ragi Barrow. I told him I'll tell on him. And so I did.
  • (Haruspex / Changeling) That cute bull in the Lot is still alive. That's for sure.

Day 11

  • (Changeling) The lovely bull is gone. Just gone somewhere. How can it be?
  • (Changeling) Haruspex found blood beneath the Polyhedron. Go figure.

Day 12

  • And my path was called "Feed the Doll". I also wanted to be with mom and dad.
  • If we, the outcast children, live, the Town will grow to be a Town of Men. Capella will entrust us with it. We're the future of this land.

Pathologic 2

  • The plague bringer is here. Walking around.
  • Pit-a-pat, pit-a-pat, oh pit-a-pat. Three coffin bearers, two mice, and a bat.
  • What's there about you to like? Nothing. So, I don't. Nuh-uh.
  • There's a crow.. in the oak... saying croak... and... croak... and croak.
  • How many crusts do you have? I've got two.
  • Nobody ever did give me a pony after all.
  • Granny's doing better now! She's breathing less already.
  • I didn't do it. Don't look at me like that.
  • Bachelor has found some strange clay.
  • And they lived happily ever after. And horribly ever before.
  • And I will get a dog. Teach it to be a tiger. I'll call it... Grumby.
  • I don't have enough hands... (Sigh.) So sad without my carrying poke.
  • A good person. Despite all the stuff, a good person.
  • Sometimes it seems like Clara's two different girls.
  • Your fingers are in every pot. And your feet, always running around. But you aren't the big head yet.
  • We're alive... so Granddad Simon is still alive too.
  • Buds bear flowers, clocks bear hours, bones bear... nothing. They're just bones.
  • Rough as dutch, safe to touch. Smooth as bone, leave it alone.
  • Burakh slept on the Ragi Barrow. I told him I'd tell on him. So I did.
  • Slugs and snails and puppy dog tails.
