Painkiller is a type of drug in Pathologic 2. It is a homemade alternative to Morphine, with which it shares similar properties. As of Day 4, the Haruspex can make painkillers by combining a Tincture with a healthy organ or blood within the Brewery once it has been fixed.
When administered to another character during diagnosis, Painkillers reduce their pain, the degree to which is determined by the type of organ used to brew the Painkiller.
If consumed by the Haruspex, Painkillers will give him a buff for 2 in-game hours, during which time his health recovery in sleep is improved. Additionally, Painkillers have unique status effects and brew times, which are determined by the type of organ used while brewing.
Painkillers can be traded with infected Townsfolk, Worms, and Dandy in the Soul-and-a-Half Fortress.

Notes
- Painkillers take up 2x1 inventory slots. Matching Painkillers (made from the same base tincture and organ) can stack up to 5.
- When trading, Painkillers are worth 4/5/6/7/8 to Worms and 3-9 to infected townsfolk (character dependent). Dandy accepts Painkillers made from Blood for 8, and all other Painkillers for 15.
- If more than one Painkiller (or Morphine) is consumed by the player character, their buffs to health recovery during sleep will stack.
