Rusty Scalpel is a melee weapon in Pathologic 2 that can also be used during autopsy. It is the lowest quality surgical tool available to the Haruspex. It can be looted from containers, sold to all stores, and traded to Dandy in the Soul-and-a-Half Fortress.

On Day 1, a total of three Rusty Scalpels can be acquired. One damaged Rusty Scalpel can be found in Rubin's Apartment. Another can be found in the Cabinet in Bad Grief's Nest, and a Tragedian will point out its location if the Haruspex agrees to perform an operation on Grief's man Piecework (who can be found in a house in the Tanners district). If the Haruspex speaks to Shiner at said house without an autopsy tool in his inventory, he can tell Shiner that he has nothing to operate on Piecework with and Shiner will give him a brand new Rusty Scalpel.

On Day 11 killing Isidor Burakh’s new actor will allow the Haruspex to get another Rusty Scalpel by looting the body.
