Tinctures are a drug with immunity boosting properties found in Pathologic 2. They are made by the Haruspex by combining two Herbs and one Water Bottle within the Alembic in his Lair, which he can gain access to as early as Day 2.
Tinctures serve a number of purposes, the simplest being that they increase immunity to plague, similar to Immunity Boosters. In order to do so, they can be issued to other characters via prophylaxis, or consumed by the player character. When consumed by the player, Tinctures will also have small secondary effects on certain status bars, which are either helpful or harmful depending on tincture quality.
Additionally, Tinctures can be issued to infected patients in effort to discover disease symptoms during diagnosis. When administered to a sick NPC, basic tinctures will reveal 1 symptom, and improved tinctures will reveal 2.
As of Day 4, once the Brewery is fixed, the Haruspex can use Tinctures to create Painkillers and homemade Antibiotics.
Tinctures can be traded to Herb Brides, Worms, Infected Townsfolk, and Dandy in the Soul-and-a-Half Fortress.
